Up, Down and All Around

Norah is growing up so fast and I can't believe all that she does these days, one of the main things though is getting into anything she possibly can! She loves helping and she is such a busy little girl, she is always moving from the moment she wakes up in the morning until she goes down for her nap and then when nap is over she is zooming around until bed time! She will be 15 months next week, I can't believe it!!! I truly love this stage though, it is so fun and I love that she is beginning to communicate with us and she understands so much we tell her and its just so fun to watch her little mind learn. New for her this month is she has finally mastered signing!! She now signs "all done", "please", and "more", "more" is her newest one, surprisingly she still hasn't mastered "eat", but she learned the 3 she knows pretty quickly so I think its coming soon. She also knows when I say it's time to go bye bye that she gets her shoes on, she walks over to her shoe basket and pulls out a shoe and tries to put it on herself! I also have noticed lately that she understands when I ask her if she has gone poopy, she looks down and touches her diaper, so I think I really want to have her potty trained by her 2nd birthday. Norah loves picking flowers and smelling them, we taught her to smell them not put them in her mouth and now she even smells a flower if its in one of her books she is reading! She is starting to say a couple of words, like when she signs "all done" she says "aaa doneee" and she says mom and dadada. Her sleep schedule is pretty much the same, she goes to bed close to 8 and wakes up between 6:15 and 7. She is still drinking 4 oz of powdered goat's milk 3 times a day, once in the morning after she wakes up, before nap time and before bedtime.

My mother-in-law gave us their tree swing for our front yard and Norah just loves going in her swing and watching the neighborhood, she is so curious.

When we go over to my parents she also loves helping my dad feed the chickens chunks of apple and she always tries to sneak a few pieces for herself :)

In town we have a place called the Nut Tree where we take Norah to play and we got some cute pics the other day of her, but we couldn't stay long because it was scorching hot, she was not happy about having to leave. :)

We have also lately been back into juicing since I watched the Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead documentary on Netflix, I was reminded how amazing juicing is for you and Casey watched it after I did and we both agreed it was time to break out the old juicer and get some fresh Organic produce and juice! My dad has always sworn by juicing ever since he got sick 10 years ago with a life threatening liver disease. Norah loves helping daddy and I love that it teaches her a healthy lifestyle by our example. We have been going to our local Farmer's Market and getting our Organic produce and we just love heading out on Saturday mornings and enjoying the morning together as a family at the market supporting local farmers and getting Organic produce!

Lately, Norah loves playing with her baby dolls, she is so loving already and she loves hugging them and feeding them with her baby bottle, she is going to make a wonderful mommy one day!!!

I love summer!!! Especially this summer, it is so much fun to be able to go to the swimming pool and actually get in with Norah! Last year she was so tiny that we didn't get to spend a whole lot of time swimming, but this year it is so fun to watch her play!

Norah loves making messes when she plays and she takes after me when it comes to her love of rearranging!! Below are some pics of her play area before she wakes up and during play time you can see all that she accomplishes! And the very last pic is after she has gone to bed what it looks like, so funny! I have been teaching her though, before bed time and nap time, to help mommy clean up her toys and I sing the "Clean Up" song and she helps put toys away, she is so smart!

Norah also loves putting baskets, purses, anything with a handle really on the crook of her arm and carry it around, she crakes me up!

Norah can climb almost anything it seems these days, she knows how to climb on the couch and chairs in the house, as you can see now with this new found skill she tries to take things off my side tables, 2 out of my 3 side tables in my family room now have nothing on them because she can either reach or climb to them, we teach her to sit on the couch and chairs, but sometimes she is so fast that she gets to them before we can.

The most amazing thing lately is how much Norah is comprehending now in reading!! She loves pulling her books out all by herself and sitting and pointing at the pictures, she even knows some of the animals and objects if we ask her to point to certain ones, amazing! She also knows what the doggy says and cat so far. She even knows what books we tell her to get, we will tell her go get Brown Bear book, meaning Brown Bear, Brown Bear and she walks over to her books and picks through them until she finds the right one, amazing!!
